The Rocky Mountain STOL fly-in and short takeoff and landing competition takes place August 13th-15th, 2026. The event is hosted by Emblem Aviation at Ralph Wenz Field (KPNA) in Pinedale, Wyoming. Expect to see pilots pushing their aircraft to the limit with the shortest possible takeoff and landing distances across several competitive classes.

You can register to compete online through the official National STOL Pilot Portal. The competitor entry fee is $200, with Standard and Rookie class registration fees reduced through Sunday, August 10, 2026, before prices increase.

Spectator tickets and on-site camping are available, with passes ranging from $0 to $70 for entry and $20 to $60 for camping. You can book your passes and get exact details on the National STOL Tickets Page.
